About Semantico
I am Markus Horn, the founder of Semantico, and innovation and forward thinking have always been a driving force for me.
I founded Semantico in 1999 and have worked tirelessly ever since to provide uncompromising and reliable service to my clients. And just as the world, the technical landscape and the possibilities have changed rapidly in recent years, so too have I adapted my skills for the future.
And so my 20+ year journey from .NET, backend to web2 & mobile apps has now led me to web3 / blockchain.
In the Blockchain environment, I am specifically concerned with data protection and cross-chain applications and work mainly with the Cosmos / Interchain Ecosystem.
Development
Since 1999 I am working as a freelance developer and one of my core competences is the development with .NET / C#, with which I work intensively since the first version. My focus here is on development and architecture in the backend.
Since a few years I am also intensively involved with Blockchain / Web3 and believe that decentralization, tokenization of assets and the general possibilities of the Blockchain will have a very big impact in the future. Especially in combination with AI, this technology will have a huge disruptive impact on many business models and jobs.
I have focused here on privacy, interoperability and multi-chain applications because I firmly believe that data worth protecting must and will also be a decentralized component in both private and business environments. Combining transparent blockchains like Ethereum with a data-protecting or encrypted chain like Secret Network, connected via an interoperability solution like Axelar or Cosmos / IBC, would be an example scenario here.
In addition, we also offer native mobile app development using the .NET Framework via .NET MAUI.
The planning, development and integration of cloud components and infrastructures is a topic that has also been an integral part of my work for some time. Here, according to my competencies, I mainly deal with the Azure Cloud.
Consulting
As a software architect and developer, I attach great importance to comprehensive consulting and requirements analysis.
A proven method for the analysis is Requirements Engineering, for which I am also certified according to IREB CPRE Foundation Level.
A software project or an epic/story can only be successful with a well-founded analysis.
Especially in the environment of Blockchain / Web3, with its transparent and permanent storage, a prior analysis, e.g. when it comes to data worth protecting, is not an option, but a duty.
In my considerations I always take into account the larger context and include new technologies in my considerations in order to plan for the future.
Workshop / Speaker
I also offer workshops to familiarize yourself with new topics or to get an overview. The open framework of a workshop is also ideal for developing ideas.
